James Hemingway: Master of Sport Science (United States Sports Academy, '97 University of Illinois-Springfield '95)

    Coach Hemingway anticipates immediate contributions from eighteen new players in his third season at Park.  Previously, Hemingway was the head coach of the Fort Collins Force (USISL W-League) women's professional soccer team in Fort Collins, Colorado.  Under Hemingway's direction, the Force were the 1998 W-League National Champions.  While with Fort Collins, Hemingway recruited national collegiate champions and national team players from the United States, Canada, and Norway.  In 1998, Hemingway also coached the Fort Collins High School boys' soccer team to a state semi-final finish.

    Hemingway graduated in 1995 from the University of Illinois-Springfield (formerly Sangamon State University) where he was co-team MVP for the 1993 National Championship soccer team.  Hemingway also earned a Masters of Sport Science-Sport Management degree from the United States Sports Academy in 1998.  During 1997, he was the head girls' soccer coach at Daphne High School in Daphne, Ala.

    Hemingway has taken charge of one of the NAIA's winningest women's soccer programs at Park.   In 2000, Coach Hemingway will return to coach the Force for their fourth W-League season.  

    Jamie has been married to his wife Stacey for 5 years.

    Prior to coming to Kansas City to coach at Park, Bowen lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas for 25 years.  He attended the University of Arkansas where he earned a BA in Literature.  While in college, Bowen founded the Fayetteville High School Girls soccer program, winning the state championship in 1996.  Most recently, Bowen worked at Barnes and Noble Booksellers as a manager.
